Music | Quotes Posts !

I love music. I play, piano ( well I try .. I don't mind being bad, I actually kind of enjoy it ), Guitar ( Badly to accompany my songs ), Ukulele ( because my sisters awesome and got me one for my birthday ), Drums ( why the hell not ;) ) and I sing . Singing is my passion and song writing has been my passion for a few years now as well as doing exams in musical theatre. I can't explain what a massive part of my life music is and I think it's also a massive part of a lot of peoples lives. Music is the one thing that connects us because it can be a million different things so can fit anyone :) So over the years I've collected a lot of beautiful quotes about music so today I thought I'd share them with you !

Going Through Struggles | Quotes Posts !

Sometimes we go through through times that we desperately want to get out of but it feels impossible and you end up feeling trapped and hopeless. Those times are awful and I'm sorry if you're going through times like that ( I also send really big hugs ) because I know that to feel that helpless is scary. But I promise you're going to be alright soon. Regardless of the situation or the pain, no hope is ever futile. Today I wanted to share a few quotes I've collected over the years to help you through hard times.

This quote is one of my favourites, it's from an All Time Low song called " Missing You " and it always gives me a motivation boost that it's all very well say you're doing something and that you're going to try but just sitting there feeling sorry for yourself. You have to do something to make things happen because you do have the power to change things if you give it everything you've got ! The Picture is made by my lovely best friend, she drew it for me a few days a go when I needed a little help getting out of a slump :)

Firstly, I'm super sorry I didn't post last week. I was really busy with college stuff and I knew I would be so I wrote in advance but when I went to post them my computer had messed up so I've had to re-write them ! Brilliantly Catchy Songs !

Hello There ! 

The other night I was having one of those nights where every position is uncomfortable, every pillow feels about as soft as a brick and the chances of sleep felt about as likely as a flying zebra coming in through my window and offering to whisk me off to the moon ! So I turned to YouTube to find something to entertain me until I felt slightly less awake than a 5 year old who'd eaten about 3 tonnes of candy. Some how while I was going through endless videos I fell upon a couple of really brilliant, catchy an unique songs which I now can't get enough of ! So I thought I'd share them with you :) 

A Hairdressers Called Sids - Jerry Williams

This is such a super cute, catchy song . I wasn't so keen on it at first but now I can't get the chorus out of my head and I've had it on repeat for the past two hours... so I guess I should say sorry in advance ;)

                      Penny Drop - Beth McCarthy

You Might Recognise Beth Mccarthy off The Voice Series Three ( For those who don't know, The Voice is a singing competition on TV in the UK ) . But me being seemingly oblivious to the world, hadn't heard of her until I found her singing on YouTube and her song Penny Drop is AMAZING !

Okay.. yes it is a strange title , but oh my gosh is it brilliant ! Like the cutest metaphor ever !!

I know I've already given you one Beth McCarthy song but she REALLY is stunning :) This song is all about taking chances and doing what you need to do to get where you want to be <3

Blue Eyes Green Eyes - Charlotte Campbell

This song is wonderful :) Charlotte has such a lovely, endearing, positive outlook and a gorgeous guitar that I would give both my legs and at least one arm for ... It's really pretty ;) Also, she's just brought an album out called making waves so be sure to check that out !

I'm Not Sure At All - Carrie Hope Fletcher 

Just a little, mini song by the amazing Carrie Hope Fletcher. I honestly haven't been able to get this out of my head since I first heard it ! It reminds me of me and my boyfriend when she say " I think I liked the taste of lemonade " because I tended to freeze up in front of his family when asked if I wanted a drink and just go for water to avoid being any trouble ! 

The Postman - Lucy Spraggan

Despite being super sad and giving me a serious case of goose bumps, Lucy, as always has produced yet another song that's somehow both heart-warming and chilling at the same time ! I love it :)

Smiley Hedgehogs

Heyy , 

There's been loads of super cute stuff floating around pinterest this week so here is my top ten :)

Talking of cute ...guys , this hedgehog is smiling ! ^.^

This is the sweetest thing I've seen all day :) 

I have got to try this ! It actually looks pretty easy :) I can't get enough of the step by step DIY stuff on pinterest! If you want to see more of this sort of thing you can follow my DIY board here <3

Such an important message, it's all about how comfortable you are in your self because that will be reflected in how you act and how happy you are. I know it sounds extremely cliché but people can see when you're in a state where you've completely accepted yourself and they pick up on it and it's infectious ! So spend a little time with yourself, get comfortable, become happy. For you and everyone you're around :)

How can something that AWESOME be this simple ! :D I'm definitely going to try this. It would be the perfect cupcake, birthday cake for my sister who loves watermelon ... who doesn't ? 

I have the original, Big Bang Theory version of this on a top that my boyfriend bought me for valentine day , so this made me giggle :) 

I assume they mean be classy and confident .. not my approach of tripping over and face planting before .... because that's not always considered attractive ;) Who'd of thought, eh ?

I've spoken before about The Hopeful Notes, which I found out about maybe a year or two ago but what I really loved about the hopeful notes other than how lovely and easy it was to spread a little kindness, was how many wonderful quotes there are out there that I can learn from :) So over the last year, through quite a lot of procrastinating on pinterest I've built up a pretty big collection of thought provoking quotes. I'M BATMAN !!! SHHH !!!

Hello beautiful :)

It's always been the plan that as part of my blogging schedule I would post a top ten pins of the week on every Thursday . Unfortunately It's currently exam season and that means that finding time to blog is slightly more difficult :) However this week I've managed to find the time so here we go !

I really love this idea . Only recently I've actually begun to understand how everyone has a reason for how they act or are . Yes, some reasons might not be very good in my opinion but in their head it's the most important reason in the world because they fully understand all of the implications. This quote really makes me look at people differently :) 

This made me giggle :) Me and my sister always used to joke about Rory's inability to die properly when he was in Doctor Who . This pretty much sums it up perfectly ! 

What would we do without a good bit of Roald Dahls wonderful passion for being happy :) 

Definitely my new approach too solving any problems life throws my way ;) 

Sometimes , you just need to give yourself a break. Some days it is enough to simply get through it <3 I'm thinking about doing a blog post on how to make yourself a self care box for when you're feeling a lil bit crap . If that's something you'd like to see then let me know in the comments !

Good old Big Bang Theory :) I don't know where I'd be without Sheldon Cooper to make me laugh every night ... yes I'm that sad ! What's your point ;) 

Over a year after reading the book, I am still fangirling over the beautiful quotes in Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowel ! If you haven't read the book , READ IT ! Seriously , I mean it . Like, go, now READ !!! .... Okay you can finish reading this first but then go ;) 

Everybody should do this :) It's amazing how wonderful common sense can be ... It's actually that simple to make yourself happier .

This is a must for my bedroom wall when I move house ! :D

I really , desperately NEED a gorgeous reading nook as cosy and wonderful as this one pretty please with a cherry and top and extra frosting ^.^ 

I hope you enjoyed having a flick through a few of the pretty little things I've been looking at this week :) I really want to get back to this being a regular post so I'm going to try and stay on top of it but like I said, it's exam season so please forgive me if it doesn't happen quite as regularly as I would hope .
