Bake Someone a Cake | Random Acts Of Kindness

Who doesn't love a delicious, homemade cake ?

When you're feeling down, a thoughtful gesture from a friend can mean the absolute world. I personally think that when somebody goes to effort of taking the time to make it themselves, means even more. I while a go one of my friends was feeling a bit rubbish, not for any particular reason but we all have those days. So to cheer her up I made her some white chocolate cupcakes and she was so grateful it made my heart melt :) It doesn't even have to be a cake ! You could make a batch of cookies, brownies, or fudge. There are loads of things that would easily make someone's day and would only take you half an hour !

This week, try and make something nice for a friend who's going through a rough time, feeling down or just needs to know how loved and appreciated they are !

Let me know in the comments some of your ideas of things to make to cheer up a friend or tell me about a time somebody has made you something that got you smiling again :)

Stay Strong <3 Stay Smiley :)

Lots of love, Marianne xxx

  1. This is such a lovely idea! I'm actually planning to make a batch of caramel brownies for my friend who's feeling a bit down at the minute, it's so simple but can mean so much to someone :)

  5. My boyfriend has been feeling down lately so I knew I had to do something to try to cheer him up.I went to his college this evening and surprised him with his favorite candy ( peanut butter cups). It feels nice to do something for someone that is so important to me. I could tell it meant a lot to him that I came to see him. :) I wish I would have had time to bake something but candy is the next best thing. :) Thanks for encouraging these random acts of kindness. I really believe that the little things we do could add up to making this world a better place. :)

  9. I love baking and feel I am offering something nice to people when I can bake for them! A couple of years ago when our neighbour's wife passed away just before Valentine's Day, we baked and brought him a heart-shaped cake for him and his family with a bottle of wine. We know he was so appreciative of it, and we loved doing it for him! Good advice, Marianne :)

  11. I love this idea :) it's the best feeling ever when friends or family surprise you with random things when you are feeling down. Recently, my coworker surprised me with a cupcake and giftcard for my birthday, and I was definitely not expecting it. It made me feel good that she remembered. It's really nice when people go to that extra step.
